BIOGRAPHY


Oliver Baumann is Assistant Professor of Management at Munich School of Management, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. He received a Ph.D. and MBR in Management from LMU München, a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (equiv. M.S. in Business Engineering) from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and a M.S. in Engineering Management from Portland State University. His research focuses on the intersection of organization, innovation, and strategy, with a particular emphasis on applications of complexity theory and simulation modeling.

Current courses

I teach the introduction to information systems course at the undergraduate level as well as different seminars at both undergraduate and graduate levels. In the latter courses, I involve students in ongoing research projects or in collaborative work with business partners.
